Gentlewave

What is the Gentlewave Procedure?

The GentleWave Procedure is a modern-day root canal procedure that uses multi-sonic energy to clean and disinfect the hard-to-reach places of the root canal. Unlike a traditional root canal procedure, the GentleWave Procedure is minimally invasive which helps preserve your natural tooth structure.

The doctor will apply a GentleWave Procedure instrument to your tooth and use a mix of advanced fluid dynamics and multi-sonic energy to break up and lift the infection from your tooth.  Once the inside of your tooth is clean, the doctor will fill your roots to ensure no re-infection occurs. Then your dentist will complete a restoration of your tooth with a crown.

Endodontic Regeneration:

Endodontic regeneration uses the concept of tissue engineering to restore the root canals to a healthy state, allowing for continued development of the root and surrounding tissue. This procedure is often completed on infected permanent teeth that have not fully developed.   Treatment is completed to allow the tooth to mature with fully developed roots to increase the strength and durability of the tooth.
